Celtic Healthcare Receives Best Places to Work in Western PA Award

Best Places We are pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year, Celtic Healthcare has been recognized by the Pittsburgh Business Times as one of the Best Places to Work in Western Pennsylvania - coming in at #5 in the Large Companies category.

This ranking was based on the results of online employee surveys completed in the last several months by Celtic employees. With over 150 total entries this year - making this list is a noteworthy achievement!

Arnie Burchianti, Celtic Founder and CEO, along with eight Celtic team members: Lori Putnam, Tammy Hart, Donna Cozad, Allison Keber, Kathy Kendrew, Brittany Karwowski, Beverly Smith and Steve McGurgan, attended the October 22 awards luncheon honoring a total of 72 companies, where the winner of each category (ranked by employee count) and the company with the overall highest score were announced.

Burchianti accepted this award from the Pittsburgh Business Times on behalf of all Celtic employees. "It is an honor to be sharing this achievement with members of the Celtic team. An overall commitment by all team members to a shared vision, mission and values creates a company culture that focuses on employees being our No. 1 customer."

Celebrate National Homecare and Hospice Month!
November is Homecare and Hospice Month, a time to salute the thousands of heroes that provide high quality home health, personal care and hospice services in our communities. Each day, homecare professionals including nurses, therapists and personal care aides, defy the impersonal nature of today's health care system - they make house calls! Homecare

November is also a time when our attention shifts to home and family. We will soon enter the holiday season and many of us will spend time with parents or grandparents we haven’t seen for quite some time. For some, dad may seem different. Perhaps vigor or vitality is diminished. Maybe cognition or memory is not what it used to be. The festive holiday may prompt a difficult conversation with siblings. You may ask, "What are we going to do?"

Know that you're not alone and you have options. Nursing homes are not one's fate. If you see a decline in a parent or grandparent, help and support is available through home health, hospice and personal care agencies. Start the conversation with your loved ones. Discuss your options and know that the homecare professionals we honor this month are ready to help you.
